R.O.P.E.S Ride 2009

A Success!

The doors to the V.F.W. opened at 7:00am. People slowly started coming in and getting some good breakfast and hot coffee. Before you knew it, the place was packed full. We had a lot of familiar faces, which was so nice to see, and some new ones too and they were welcomed in with open arms. Everyone was getting excited and ready for a great ride. Then the rain came. People noticed that it was wet, but it did not stop anyone from suiting up and taking the ride. The ride went well and the weather got a little better and we made it to Main Street incident free. The street with all the vendors and people was so nice to see.

The Downtown event went great! With raffles and food, and let's not forget the comeback of Jack's Hungry Man Hot Dog Eating Contest! It was so encouraging to see that it takes more than a little rain to stop folks from coming out and helping us support the R.O.P.E.S Camp. Everyone’s efforts and participation has helped us to keep this great camp going. The campers of 2010 will definitely appreciate it. And so do we!
